Over two decades, I’ve watched something happen again and again.A woman walks into the shop asking about her skin…
and somewhere along the way, the conversation shifts. We start talking about life. About aging.
About how she’s feeling in her body.
About family, relationships and love.
And in those moments, something softens.Because women aren’t just looking for products.
They’re craving real conversations. Not surface-level or performative conversations but honest conversations. The kind where you exhale.
Where you feel seen.
Where you realize you’re not the only one thinking or feeling this way.
These conversations matter. They’ve shaped how I see women. How I see aging.
How I see myself.
ORESTA isn't just the name of a shop, it's my name. I find it funny that even after almost 25 years, people are still surprised to learn that Oresta is a real person, not an interesting play on 'rest' for a business name.
It’s me and I’m more than an aesthetician.
I'm a woman who has lived a full beautiful life.
A mother, daughter, sister.
A business owner.
Someone who has struggled, questioned, changed, and grown — just like you.
At 61, I've stopped trying to get everything right and started getting really honest.
That’s why I chose to write (and talk) about it on Substack
Substack is a space where I can share real thoughts.
And a place for these conversations to live.
I’ll be writing and talking about:
Aging. Unedited.
Beauty. Unedited.
Life. Unedited.
Love. Unedited.
I’m not here to offer fixes,
I’m here to share perspective.
From experience, observation and years of working closely with women and their skin.
If you’ve been wanting something more honest… more grounded…
I think you’ll enjoy Substack.
Woman to woman.
