1. Nutrition and gut health play a key role in the health of our skin.
Recommendation: Consume a diet rich in vegetables, fruit, whole grains, quality protein and healthy fats as well as plenty of water help manage acne. Food sensitivities can also be linked to acne. Dairy, eggs, wheat, soy and sugar are common culprits. We suggest a food diary to track how a particular food affects your skin.
2. Managing Stress
Recommendation: Elevated cortisol can cause hormonal changes, increase inflammation and oil production which can exacerbate breakouts. Find a calming daily activity you love or even a calming moments in your day to increase mindfulness and reduce stress.
