1. Brighten Compound - Resin + Rhizome
Perfect for stagnant hyperpigmentation and sun damage, this compound uses the power of Turmeric, Licorice Root, and Frankincense to reduce dark spots, even skin tone, and enhance natural radiance. Turmeric and Licorice are known for their brightening properties, while Frankincense is deeply restorative, helping to resurface the skin gently.
It is formulated to replace conventional brightening treatments like Hydroquinone and Arbutin (topical skin lighteners).
2. Vitality Compound - Wild Weeds
This antioxidant-rich blend contains Wild Nettles, Chickweed, and Cleavers to restore vitality to lacklustre skin. These wild herbs are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that protect the skin from environmental stressors, while revitalizing skin tone and texture.
It is formulated to replace conventional retinol and stem-cell serums.
3. Hydration Compound - Roots + Roses
Rose, Marshmallow, Astragalus and Chia are expertly combined for this star compound. Laurel's very first compound and the most popular to date, the Hydration compound deeply hydrates while supporting the skin barrier. Roses provide an abundance of hydration, while Marshmallow Root is a soothing anti-inflammatory that locks in moisture.
It is formulated to replace conventional hyaluronic acid products.
4. Radiance Compound - Fruits + Flavanoids
Designed for gentle exfoliation and brightening, this compound includes Hibiscus, Papaya and Camu Camu, offering natural AHAs and a boost of Vitamin C. It gently resurfaces the skin while promoting cellular renewal for a more even and radiant glow.
It is formulated to replace conventional Vitamin C and AHAs.
5. Soothe Compound - Calendula + Oat
Perfect for sensitive or inflamed skin, this formula contains only 2 potent ingrdients: Calendula, Oat. These soothing ingredients reduce redness and irritation while healing compromised skin barriers. Perfect for rosacea, sensitive, irritated skin and breakouts.
It is formulated to replace conventional niacinamide and hydrocortisone treatments.
6. Lymph Compound - Clover + Conifer

However, if your skin is particularly sensitive or reactive, some of these formulations may be too powerful due to their highly concentrated, active plant ingredients.
How to Use The Collection
Each compound is designed to be used according to your skin's daily needs. Customize your routine based on what your skin is expressing that day. For example, if you are dealing with post-summer pigmentation, use Brighten. For days when your skin is red or inflamed, reach for Soothe.
Other things to know when using your compound set:
- Compounds are highly concentrated and nutrient dense. They are meant to be used by the drop and 1-3 drops are typically recommended per application.
- They are not meant to replace your elixir/toner or oil based products (such as Laurel's Oil Serums).
- Mist your skin generously with elixir/toner and then apply the compound on damp skin, gently compressing. Follow with an oil serum, balm or moisturizer.
- It is not recommended to add your compound directly into another product, such as a moisturizer. When mixed with other products, it will not absorb as directly or as quickly.
- Depending on your skin you can use more than one compound at once. These Compounds are your medicine chest of plant allies to draw from as needed, whether that’s using one Compound at a time or by combining multiple Compounds into your AM/PM rituals.
