We’re thrilled to introduce our first woman in business, Lisa, the owner of Tennessy Willems, a wood oven pizza restaurant in happening Hintonburg. Lisa shares her passion making and sharing fresh food and embraces aging with an active lifestyle and zest for life.
Meet Lisa:
My husband and I bought the building at 1082 Wellington street west in 2009. We did a reno and turned the space into a small cozy restaurant with a wood burning oven. My idea was to create gourmet wood burning pizza using as many local ingredients as possible and everything would be made in house with fresh ingredients.
What do you love about getting older? What don't you like about getting older?I love the wisdom of age I love the peace I feel most days and being able to live in the moment. I appreciate things more, I see more beauty in things and I feel more grounded to the earth. What do I not like about getting old......so far not much just maybe the fact that life is short and I still have so much I want to accomplish and see.
What advice would you give your younger self as a woman/ as an entrepreneur? Be Patient and trust your intuition
What is your go-to beauty product? I use Eminence Stone Crop Fizzofoliant, Laurel single farm hydrosols, Laurel and Kahina oil serums and Laurel Day and Night Balm. I look forward to my evening routines with my Gua Sha, its become a form of meditation for me.....lol things have changed since my 20's. For my teeth and mouth I love Living Libations Happy Gum Drops and Charcoal Wintergreen Toothpaste.
