Beyond Beauty: An Empowered Aging Conversation With Sydney

Sydney is the kind of woman who turns heads without trying. With striking white hair and signature statement glasses, her style is unmistakably her own - effortlessly cool and unapologetically authentic. Yet it’s her presence that truly stays with you: grounded, warm and wise.

She doesn’t chase youth; she honours her age, embracing every year as a chapter in a story she’s proud to tell. There’s poise in her confidence and quiet strength in her joy. In this season of life, she’s discovered a deeper rhythm — one that feels honest, freeing, and fully hers.

Her beauty is unforced. Her connection to the women and loved ones who surround her is deeper than ever. For anyone wondering what it means to age with intention and radiance — Sydney is the embodiment.

1. What has aging gifted you that you wouldn’t trade for youth? Age has gifted me EVERYTHING. I’ve never wanted to be younger than I am. I finally feel comfortable in my own skin and have a sense of who it is I am as a person.  No longer trying to find out who I am through the refection of others.

2. How has your definition of beauty evolved over the decades? My definition of beauty has matured as I have matured. Things don’t need to be perfect, I don’t need to try to look like anyone else and finding my own style has come more naturally. It's a much more calm and quiet beauty.  Comfort and ease.

3. What role have your female friendships played in your healing, growth, and joy? Just knowing I have women out there in the world who love and support me has been so strengthening.

4. What are you most proud of in this season of life? What I’m most proud of in this season of my life is first of all that I have the good luck to be at this stage.  I’ve grown into a person I am proud to be.  My kids are experiences life out in the world in different and open ways.  They have succeeded and exceeded in ways I could never have dreamed of.

5. If you could give one message to women entering their 60s, what would it be? My message to women who are entering their 60’s is simple. It’s amazing.  I get to be me in a way that I haven’t been before.  I’m still exploring this new stage but am no longer looking externally for validation.  It’s so freeing!
